What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga translated from Hebrew means ‘Contact Combat’. It is an Israeli self defence system, originally designed for the military and now adapted for civilian use, as well as many law enforcement organisations. Krav Maga is a hugely effective system which is used all over the world and uses natural body movements and reactions to situations. (Hence the creation of Kinectics; krav maga is based on moving in order to defend, counter attack and escape from a potential threat).
Krav Maga was founded by Imi Lichtenfeld, who designed self defence techniques in order to train the Israeli Defence Force (IDF). Further into his career Imi nominated his student, Eyal Yanilov to become chief instructor and develop the system further. Eyal is now known as the chief instructor of Krav Maga Global. Thus KMG is from the source itself and known as the leading Krav Maga organisation worldwide.
KMG is always adapting techniques to suit the current situations around the world and can be used by anyone no matter what shape, size, strength, fitness level or background.
